Concert Season

The ABCMA presents a four concert season of brass chamber music every year. The core performing vehicle of the organization is the Aurora Brass Quintet. We provide a variety of interesting and diverse concert programs over the course of the season. For example, past performances have featured collaborations with the soprano Elizabeth Commeaux, percussionist Bernhard Asher, pianist Lawrence Henry, organist Raymond Johnston, local brass quintet the Summit Hill Brass Quintet, as well as many other local brass players just to name a few. In October of 2005, we brought the American Brass Quintet (in residence at Juilliard) to Minneapolis for a concert and Mini-Residency.

The music presented on the season concerts stem from a wide and diverse repertoire of some of today's brighest composers and some of history's greatest, spanning as far back in time as the early Renaissance.
